About Us
Originally, Heatwaves specialized in offering a wide range of products, including sprinkler and irrigation parts/accessories, hot tubs, spas, fireplaces, and stoves. These offerings were not just items for sale, but opportunities for individuals to enhance their homes and create inviting spaces for relaxation and comfort.
While Heatwaves no longer focuses on sprinkler and irrigation systems, its renewed vision is centered on helping the community realize their dreams of creating the perfect home environment, both indoors and outdoors. The business remains dedicated to providing exceptional products and services that cater to the diverse needs and desires of its customers.
Heatwaves continues to offer an impressive selection of fireplaces, stoves, inserts, and even custom-built fireplaces, ensuring that homes are adorned with warmth and beauty. Additionally, their commitment to providing ultimate relaxation remains steadfast, as they still offer hot tubs, spas, swim spas, saunas, and outdoor furniture to create tranquil and inviting outdoor spaces.
Expanding their offerings further, Heatwaves now includes outdoor kitchens, above-ground/semi in-ground pools, and a wide range of chemicals and pool/spa accessories. This diversification enables customers to transform their outdoor areas into personal oases, perfect for entertaining, enjoying quality time with loved ones, or simply unwinding after a long day.
Throughout these changes, Heatwaves remains deeply rooted in the community. Their commitment to being actively involved in the local area endures, as they continue to participate in community events, support local initiatives, and foster meaningful connections with their valued customers.
You can't buy happiness, but you can buy a hot tub and that's pretty much the same thing!
Heatwaves, is a long-standing business that has been an integral part of our town for over 30 years. In June 2021, Brad and Brooke Duncan took over the reins of Heatwaves with the support of their daughter, Teva, and her husband, Michael Schofield. Under their ownership, the business underwent a transformation, including a name change and relocation to a new address at the corner of Hutton and 20th St.
Brad, Brooke, Teva, and Michael are not only the co-owners of Heatwaves, but they also share ownership of Allaround Propane, a local propane company that has been serving the four corners area for more than 15 years. Their deep roots in the community are evident, as Brad and Brooke have spent their entire lives in the four corners area.
Family lies at the heart of Heatwaves, with 14 grandchildren, 10 of whom actively participate in youth sports and activities in Farmington. The business embraces this family-oriented ethos, and it’s not uncommon to find a few children “working” alongside their parents, Teva and Michael, on any given day.
The primary goal of Heatwaves is to continue supporting the community and assist people in creating homes they can take pride in. Despite recent changes, the business remains committed to shopping local and nurturing the strong bonds within the community.
Heatwaves is more than just a business; it’s a testament to the values of family, community, and dedication. Through their efforts, the owners aim to ensure that Raindrops continues to be a source of support and inspiration for the people they serve, helping them build homes they can cherish for years to come.
